IAD to CDG 777 Questions

Does anyone know if UA has their 777's IAD /CDG reconfigured with the new Lay Flat Buisiness Seats as yet? The website is never helpful or has lost links. UA is suposed to have 50% (about 26) of them ready by March 2009, but with the fuel prices and economy I don't know just how fast they are upgrading their equipment.

I can't answer your question, but you might want to post this question on the 'airlines' board here.

Most of the folks who answer are pretty knowledgeable.

The best advice I get is from flyertalk.com Be aware that they are really frequent flyers so they will expect you to do a search first before you post a question. Outstanding advice.

Just FYI...according to United the re-configuration of the 777 fleet will only be 50% complete by March 2009 but you might get lucky.

There are no 777s that have the new seats yet. I believe there are currently two 767s and one 747 (and I'm not sure if the latter has started flying yet)

Speaking of UA 777 and IAD - CDG flights , has anyone heard anymore about the inspections / groundings that were talked about. I heard about these a few days ago, but nothing since.

We are one one tomorrow, so I'm hoping the inspections are finished....
