Had to read this post even though I'm not doing a trip to Switzerland. Intriguing title.

Sorry to hear about your accident but glad to hear you're ok. It was nice that so many people helped you when you needed it.

Too bad about the conductor not being willing to forget about the fine.

kleeblatt,

Sorry for your accident. This world certainly has all different kinds of people but I am glad when you had your accident the majority of the people were kind and helpful.

I once was reprimanded in Belgium for sitting in the wrong class on a train. I didn't know trains could have a class. Really! Fortunately I was not fined. Unfortunately the only 2nd class car I could access and relocate to while the train was moving was a smoking car. I didn't know there was such a thing as smoking on trains, either. I guess that's why we travel?

Glad you were not hurt. Maybe you should have spoken to the conductor in English?

OMG, please don't do that again! I'm very glad you're OK -- or were you? I can't imagine you were sitting in first class intentionally....

cold: Thanks for the best laugh I've had all day! ;-)

Glad you are OK. What a day.

Kleeblatt, I am happy that a worse fate did not befall you. If I may ask : Is a 'black car' another term for a tram since that is what you say pushed you to the ground ? Just curious...

And may I also say, let this be a warning to you Kleeblatt never to ask for an upgrade to First Class on a Swiss flight...

I am sitting on a train coming home from Ottawa and am struggling not to laugh out loud at some of the responses and humour on this thread. I'm not having any luck at all. The stern lady sitting across from me probably thinks I need an IV and medical attention from the distortions on my face and body shakes. She doesn't look like a cosmetics lady.
