I need to arrive in Rome from Sorrento before 8:00 a.m.

Sorrento to Rome VERY early in the morning: can it be done cheaply, without an expensive private transfer?

It is indeed possible to travel from Sorrento to Rome with an arrival time of 8:00 a.m. or earlier, without having to spend a fortune (around 400 Euros) for a private transfer.

Here's how to do it:

1. EAVBUS night bus from Sorrento (4:00 a.m.) to Napoli Centrale (4:58 a.m.); 4 Euros

2. Trenitalia unreserved regionale train from Napoli Centrale at 5:20 a.m., arrives Roma Termini 7:53 a.m.; 10.50 Euros (second class only).

Alternatively, there is a Trenitalia Frecciarossa high-speed train from Napoli Centrale at 6:50 a.m., arriving Roma Termini at 8:00 a.m.; 43 Euros "BASE" fare (second class). Much lower ECONOMY and SUPER ECONOMY fares also available with an advance purchase of up to 120 days.

NOTE: The early morning Marozzi bus from Sorrento at 6:00 a.m. reaches Roma Tiburtina bus depot at 9:45 a.m. (18 Euros)

(This bus runs also in winter)
