We are a couple from Isreal thaty have just decided to leave for New year. We want to take our 6 month old daughter and her nanny with us. I know we are short on time so we have already managed to find flight bookings with British Airways. We are BA fliers to collect points so wherever we decided to go on europe we have to reach london first and them change flights to our destination. We are thinking of something like this:- dec 26 reach heathrow and change flights to Naples (to go to sorrento) dec 27 sorrento dec 28 sorrento dec 29 sorrento dec 30 sorrento dec 31 sorrento jan 1 drive to rome jan 2 rome jan 3 rome jan 4 rome jan 5 rome jan 6 rome jan 7 drive to florence jan 8 florence jan 9 florence jan 10 florence jan 11 leave to london by BA jan 12 london jan 13 london jan 14 london jan 15 fly back home We still have to do our bookings for hotels in Italy. In london we will be staying with relatives.

First of all-why do you appear to be so desperate with your itinerary? I don't see anything wrong it (except you could have shortened the way you listed it). The panic I would feel if I were you is because there are no hotels reserved for Italy yet. Good luck!!

Are you planning on having a car the whole time? If not, take the train within Italy.

I am panicking because I usually plan around 6 months before any trip abroad. Another reason might be that this is the first trip I will be taking as a mother. I want us ALL to have a good time without tiring my daughter. We are looking at hotels now and I will post the hotels when we narrow the list down.

My you are Brave! The best hotel in Sorrento is the Hotel Ambascator1 (tel 081-878-2025. They have a great suite for families. Make sure to take day trips from sorrento into Positano and Capri, you wont need that much time in Sorrento if not.
