I NEED A HOTEL IN MILAN ASAP PLEASE!
I'll be in Italy the first 3 weeks of September. I'll spend the last 3 nights of my trip in Milan and my travel agent told me today that because of the women's fashion fair all of the hotels that they work with are booked.
Can anybody recommend an inexpensive hotel where I can pay with credit card? I know that Milan is an expensive city, so I am aware that the word "inexpensive" in Milan has a whole different meaning. I must book a hotel in Milan as soon as possible because I have already booked my flight and I certainly don't want to wait until the whole city is booked. As usual, thank you for your recommendations! |
Hi
Try this link -http://www.artemotore.com/milano1stelle.htm - for some leads. Good luck |
Try the Holiday City website, but before you book any low-priced hotel, check to see if it has gotten any reviews on TripAdvisor or Venere.com.
You should also try looking in the town of Stresa on Lago Maggiore, which is about 45 minutes from Milan by train or bus. From there, you can get a shuttle bus to Malpensa airport, even very early on the morning of your flight. |
Thanks! Anybody else?

Look at this website, put your dates and see if they have something available...most of the time hotels chains keep rooms to sell themselves and give the travel agencies no availability. It'a good hotels chain..I was at the Anderson in Milan in November and it was great ! (Much cheaper than it is in September, though)

My wife & I stayed 2 nights at Hotel Charly - one night at the beginning of the trip upstairs in the main hotel and our last night in Italy. It's a few blocks, easily walked with luggage (in May, anyway!), from Milano Centrale making it easy for train connections and walking over for the airport shuttle bus. We liked it enough to book the 2nd night, and they honored the Venere price for the additional night - in the quieter separate building across the private drive from the main hotel. Very nice for the price, I thought. Pleasant collazione served in their sunroom, and we payed with card. Good luck! We really liked walking up to the Duomo through the Giardinni Pubblici and seeing the city the way you should - on foot ;-)

Thanks Ronin and Kenderina! I'm checking those websites!

The Hotel Charly seems good. I've just asked for availability. It's in my range -no more than 150 euros for a double room per night-, and I like small hotels.
The StarHotels are way too expensive for me. |
Yes, I supposed they will be, I was at the Starhotel Anderson for 100 Euros/night but it was an offer in November..I was fortunate, I guess !! :)
