This happening to anyone else? It occurs at least 75% of the time to me. I cannot detect any pattern. I guess I'm not holding my tongue just right. Wonder if THIS one will appear???

Congrats on getting a message to post! You have to hold your tongue just right AND wiggle your nose simultaneously. It's all explained in the FAQ :-)

Seriously, it happens sometimes. I've learned to highlight and save the message before it's posted. Then if it's lost, all you have to do is paste it and try again. Believe me, I learned this the hard way.

I thought it was only happening to me! Sometimes takes 6 attempts to post, sometimes I just give up. Even went to the computer store to try and find out whats wrong with my computer settings - no explanation. It's a real pain!

It happened to me a lot too at first, but for some reason I'm much luckier now! Keep on trying...and always 'save' first!

When I post, the typing appears as a hieroglyphics...so I have to cut and paste and then post it. This happen to anyone else?

The last thing has never happened to me, and posts disappearing after being submitted has happened occasionally in the past. Usually, it was when Fodors was very busy or fooling around with the boards. It hasn't happened to me in a long time. I try to remember to highlight and copy a post if it's very long, before hitting submit, if I remember. I don't usually preview my posts, don't have time for that and don't care that much about any minor typos I may make.
