Thank you to everyone who answered my questions over the past few months of planning. I found this board a fabulous help even though it stle more of my time than I care to admit. We fly to Venice, go on unresereved car travel for 4 days and end up in Gaiole in Chianti. I'll post when I get back. Thanks again

We have a daughter going on a school trip to Italy next year and I would be grateful to know what website addresses to look up for general tourist information in Italy - going to Rome, Venice, Florence, Venice etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jill, here is a great site for brochures, all the information you could ever wish for. You pick the place, then order and within a week or two your postman will be cursing you : )) I find that the best brochures are from the tourist offices, but you can get info on tours, activities, or anything else you could possibly want. I had to think hard before posting this because I fear that once EVERYONE starts ordering, they'll stop the free service.... only joking : )
Anyway here's the url.
http://www.desteo.com/
Good luck, I hope your daughter has a great trip and let me know if your postman goes on strike... haha!
