I leave for Italy tomorrow!
I leave for two weeks tomorrow!! I can't believe it's here. I'm excited, nervous, exhilarated, scared, a bit sad, grateful, energized, overwhelmed, happy, worried.... I am surprised at the mix of feelings I'm having. It all seems surreal. I guess because I don't get to travel near as often as I would like, I am not a seasoned traveler therefore so much is unknown.
Do others get this rush? Once again though, with the help of all of you, I think I have planned a beautiful trip! I want to thank you all for the insight and tips! |
Have a wonderful trip. I wish I was leaving tomorrow also---for anywhere in Europe---I must have gypsy blood, I can never get enough travel.
Don't worry, and don't judge anything on your first day when you are tired and cranky from flying. Throw a coin in the Trevi for me, I'd love to go back to Italy. We'll be waiting for your trip report. |
We also go by that 24 hour rule. All the feelings you are experiencing are exactly how I feel when we travel and we travel somewhere about 3 or 4 times a year!
We will be in Rome in a few months and then on to Sorrento so our trips are similar. We will be staying in the Piazza Navona area in Rome (we stayed near the Spanish Steps a long time ago, then near Via Venato and a few times near Piazza Navona - you will like the location) and in an apartment in Sorrento - another area you will love. Have a fabulous trip, luvlimoncello! Tell us all about it when you return. |
About the feelings....a resounding yes!! I'm thrilled for you as I must wait until next spring.
Please have a Limoncello for me - I'm addicted to it!! Have a wonderful trip! |
Buon viaggio!

Yes, been on that emotional rollercoaster.
It is all worth it once you arrive. Have a wonderful trip. |
