I just got back from England, Scotland, and Wales. Any questions?

I traveled in Scotland in 2001. I got a lot of comments about how Americans were staying away because of Hoof and Mouth. And also lots of comments from friends back home about why I would go to a place with Hoof and Mouth. Some thought I was nuts. I guess the questions equeled out each other!
But my real question is more relavent to today. How often were you confronted with questions or comments about war with Iraq? And if so how did you respond to it?
thanks.

smasafy it will be raining in Scotland in April. It always rains in Scotland. As they say on the east Coast of Northern Ireland, "If you can't see Scotland it's raining, if you can... it's going to rain." That's why it's so green and lovely. Bring layers to wear! Enjoy the sights without the crowds. The rhododendrums and daffodils and much more are in full bloom in April!

I lucked up - I was in Edinburgh 2/15 - 2/20 and it was sunny and (relatively) warm every day! (45 - 50 F) Edinburgh is a beautiful city with friendly residents -- I saw a lot but most enjoyed hanging out in pubs and talking with folks. I would go back in a heartbeat!
