I enquired of Limoservicerome.com but before I decide....

for sure I'm checking with you. (By the way I couldn't sleep YET again last night and I thought I posted this question around 3-4 AM. I can't find heads nor tails of it, I guess that little tiny drinky mixed with no sleep caused operator error on the computer. Now I can't find the martini glass icon on the icons page.)

Anywho....I made an executive decision that I would wait at the airport in Rome for my parent's flight to arrive. (For those of you unfamiliar with the background of this, it would take way too much time to explain again. But it's all in the records.)

It just didn't make financial sense for me to take a limo/taxi from airport and then my parent's. (By the way is there a difference in Italy between Limo and Taxi/car? I know that in the US SOME companies will call a regular car a limo.)

I was all set to have my hotel, Albergo Cesari make the arrangements (sp?) when I decided to shop prices. Their service in a "LIMO" is 62 EURO with English speaking driver. It does not say anything about bags but I'm pretty sure that is included.

Limoservice.com quotes 42 EURO, English speaking driver, luggage, air.

What would account for the difference in price? Is one a LIMO with lots of room and one just a nice black car in which we will feel squished?

I did send a request to Limoservicerome.com for a price confirmation for our date and time. I also asked them to explain the best way for me to meet up with my folks in order to meet up with them. (I know, we talked about the meeting up before, but now we have the transportation to consider.)

Look forward to hearing from you and if this rambles, remember I am exhausted and driven.

Dear PLMN,

Click on your name and all of your posts will appear.

The reason that the hotel limo costs more than the limoservvicerome limo is that the hotel gets something.

The vehicle could be an Eclass Benz, or it could be a Benz van or anything else.

The martini glass is ( ( d ) )

Goodmorning ira!

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. I have been typing my screen name in the find box all this time. There it was, with a response. I wonder why I couldn't find it the other way?

Between you and jody you have helped me make my choice...Limoservicerome.com it is. Yay another chore done.

I have heard back from limoservicerome.com and they would like to know if I will be needing one of their regular cars or a van for the three of us and our luggage.

If there are three of us, including a SLIGHTLY portly father and each one of us has a rolling suitcase (the 21 inch kind, but heavy) and plus each of us has a carry-on, and two of us our pocketbooks, will the car they usually send be comfortable or should we ask for the van?

Hi Phoebe,

Considering all that you have been going through, ask for a van; even if it costs more.

Does anyone have the phone number for this company? They don't have it on their website as far as I can see and it is not in their email response. They list a fax number in that and say that they will provide a special phone number for contactin the driver once we arrive in Italy.

But I need the office voice number and I even tried to google it. Although based on all reviews here it seems to be totally legit, I don't like not having a voice contact office number.

I have 2 phone numbers for Andrea. BTW, he'll give you a number or two for the driver (many carry more than one cell phone) BEFORE you leave for Rome, but after you've booked.

Andrea's numbers are (39)3288230009 and (39) 3473334334. Please remember, Italy is at least 6 hours ahead of where you are, and maybe more, taking into account whichever North American time zone you may be in, so dial judiciosly, realizing that your early evening may indeed be Andrea's early morning.

Buon Viaggio,
BC

I used limoservicerome last year and it didn't have a limo. We had a commercial type van/bus with large windows with AC. There were 6 in my group so maybe that made a difference but we didn't have to share with any other passengers. They will expect you to have luggage and the van didn't cost anymore than the price quoted on the website which was 62E for 6 people. Much cheaper than taking the train to Termini (57E for 6 people) and then getting 2 taxis(?E) from Termini to the hotel.

ooh, getting a bit frustrated again.

Thank you for the voice phone numbers to Limoservicerome.com, except I can't get through.

I have tried both numbers provided here and neither call will go through. I have quadruple checked to make sure I am dialing correctly but to no avail.

Can anyone confirm the phone numbers listed by bookchick?
