In previous incarnations he was a worried family man wondering if his relatives were wrong to only want to travel on legitimate American airlines as opposed to flyby night Asian airlines.

and this could not be a plausible concern?

Why don't you have a look at the post and see what you think. Far be it from me to tell you what to think Dolores.

Well the part you excerpted certainly was plausible to me but to you it was anathema and trolling for some reason. Have another Scotch whisk(E)y matey!

How foolish am I to think I could compete with a wordsmith such as yourself? I'm sure there's a Nobel prize nomination in the post after that gem. Bravo Dolores!

Just look at all the OP's posts, PalenQ - it's pretty obvious there's nothing normal going on here.

<are really tired of noisy hotels with super rock hard beds and overpriced restaurants in Europe>

Why do you continue to do something you don't enjoy? That's the part of all these posts I just don't get.

Folks, just jumping in. Although I have observed (been bothered) by gypsies to some extent in Europe, my only real experience was with their brethren “the travelers” in Ireland. A few years back when driving in a rural area of Galway, near the Roscommon line, we noticed caravans of travelers heading for the Ballygar Fair. We were staying in a quaint 19th century hostelry in Ballygar (convenient to visit nearby relatives in Newbridge, Galway.) The establishment had a quaint pub.

One evening when we went down for a libation, we realized that all doors had been locked from the inside and that the lights were turned very low. Reason – the travelers were nearby and not the most agreeable of guests. The hotel owner feared that they might destroy the place as they had done, according to the local newspapers, in nearby towns.

Whether gypsies or travelers, it is a delicate issue, n’est pas? Have any of you encountered these travelers in Ireland?

What drives me crazy about gypsies is when the wagon caravans come down the cobblestone streets early in the morning. Those donkeys really bother me. And don't get me started on the concertina music. Plus they wear funny clothes, with the wild stripes and stuff. However, when the women get into the knife fights over their men, now that is something I love to watch. Oh and don't let me forget the mustache. I have a fairly good sized one, but nothing like theirs. And the bandanas, where do they get those colors?
