Via Montevecchio bis Apartment Through Sleep in Italy Rentals

We are in the process of finalizing some details for our Italy trip in December. We leave on Christmas Day!!

We have chosen to stay in an apartment in Rome and had initially chosen the Via Sora apartment through Sleep in Italy. We then read some posts online that Via Sora was a noisy location due to Da Baffetto downstairs and a metal shop across the street. So we are changing our apartment to the Via Montevecchio bis apartment.

Has anyone stayed in this apartment? We are wondering about the location, noise level, or apartment itself.

Thank you for all advice & comments.

Has sleep in Italy given you reservations for Montevecchio Bis? The reason I ask is that I've had a deposit on it for the past 3 months from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.

Hello halfapair

How many are staying in the apartment?

We stayed in the Via Sora apartment thru SII last year. I did comment about its noise in the living room area as the windows have no soundproofing at all.

However, when the bedroom door was closed, it was very quiet to sleep.

There is the good and bad being so close to DaBaffetto. Although for the time you are going, perhaps not so many people will be eating outside so it may not be so noisy until 1 am.

The good is that you're right next to DaBaffetto!

I don't recall a metal shop.

It's certainly a VERY convenient area for exploring all of Rome.

Happy travels!

daveesl: Yes, Sleep in Italy has confirmed our reservation for the Montevecchio bis apartment for the dates of January 4-11, 2008, so I don't think it will conflict with your reservation.

Swisshiker: There are 2 of us, DH & me.

That's good Halfapair. Since we'll be there a couple of days before you, is there anything you want us to leave for you?

If I get a chance, I'll post some info and pics on the apartment and any problems we run into, that way you'll have some advance info.

We are starting our trip in Venice, then Florence. Rome is our last stop. We will try to find a computer while in Florence.

Daveesl: if you can post some pics or info that will be great! If you can't get to it in time, no worries. I can't think of anything you could leave for us, but if something strikes you as important, then please feel free to leave it.
