It's not a good idea to overlook the Piazza Cisterna in San Gimignano, as it can get quite noisy in the enclosed space. The best rooms are definately those with balconies overlooking the countryside.

You might wish to know that the little gelateria in Piazza Cisterna, Gelateria di Piazza, is regarded as having some of the best ice cream in Italy. Its chocolate ice cream was once voted "best in the world".
