I-Amsterdam Card?
Is it worth it? Does it allow one to bypass lines of people buying tickets?
I'll be there in mid-July, and am concerned that with crowds, we will only get to a select few museums. I know that the Anne Frank House isn't on the pass, either. Financially, I'm not sure if it will pay for itself or not. It would make all the difference if we canbypass lines, though. Anyone have any experience with the pass? What are your thoughts? Thanks, Paule |
The Van Gogh and Reiijkmuseum (sp?) tickets can both be purchased online and printed from home - I just did it.

Thanks, John.
I'm definitely going to do order my tickets on-line unless there is a good reason to buy the I-Amsterdam card. Good to know! Paule |
I will only be staying 2 nights so the i-card didn't seem to make sense since our only MUSTS were the two museums I mentioned and the Anne Frank House, which is not included.

John,
When you buy the Van Gogh museum ticket on line, do you commit to a specific day? As I understand it, the Rijksmuseum ticket is open, am I right? I can't access a lot of the website areas because my computer and system is not up to date. Paule |
No, they're both good for any day in 2006.

I meant to say, no you don't have to commit to any particular day.

John,
Thanks for getting back to me. I don't think the I-Amsterdam card will really be worth it, either. Ordering these tickets on line seems to solve the problem of waiting "on line"! Paule |
