I am trying to win a free trip to France! I need help!
How can I get more youtube views to win a trip to France?
Should I post my questions on other forums and blogs? My name is Leah. My friend, Alison, and I are trying to win a free trip to France in a contest hosted by the National Educational Travel Council or also known as NETC. The contest rules say we must make a video about how we would convince our parents to let us go on a trip. We made the video and posted it on youtube. Now we just need as many views as possible. We must be in the top 5 videos with the most number of views to go on to judging. You can find the video by searching "NETC Alison" on youtube. Suggestions for how to get more views would be great.Don't watch other contestants videos. Thanks! The trip we want to go on with our school travels to Paris, Normandy, and then over to Switzerland. We would love to go. |
Good luck!

On my French version of Youtube I cannot find you, and there are so many other NTC videos!!! I think you should post your link here so the Fodorites could click on it directly. Good luck! Coco

Good video and you are over 2200 views. Yes do post the link. I meant to do it !

Done! #2244 %%-

Cute video, good luck.

I clicked your video a couple of times and will continue to do so. What is the end date of the contest (so I can stop clicking)?
Good luck and have fun. Larry J |
Will start clicking NOW. DO post back and let us know if you won--good luck!

Hmmm. Mine said 2244 as well

Although I have nothing against Alison and Leah, doesn't this raise the whole question of whether, especially in recessionary times, schoolchildren should be flown across the globe as a supposed form of education? Sometimes sadly things go wrong, and who is there? Not the parents, but the teachers. Maybe this forum is not the place for such a discussion but international travel is not cheap, and then there's all those international phone calls and texts while you're abroad... What about going instead on a nice bus trip to a nearby beauty spot?

Very cute; hope you win!
|
Really cute! I wish we'd had iMovie and YouTube when I went to France with my high school - I had to sell chocolate bars to raise funds. (And you can imagine what happened to most of them: let's just say I was much better at consuming than selling!!)

Ricardo "supposed form of education". What is supposed about learning about a different culture, history and geography of a foreign country? Sounds like a great learning experience.
|
I can't think of a better learning experience than traveling abroad, Ricardo. And "all those phone calls and texts" - pfff!
|
Just viewed - good luck!

Why did my number say 2244 also?
Anyway, very cute, I hope you win! P |
309pbg
I think they update the numbers at intervals rather than each time someone clicks on te link |
Leah and Alison are up to 2,261...but there's another pair of girls that have over 13,000!
|
@Leah, can you give us a link to the contest rules? I too would like to know when the deadline is (I see you posted it on youtube a couple of weeks ago...).
...I did put it on my FB page; we'll see if there are any takers there! :) |
