I am so frustrated...

I continually get the Error Processing message while trying to look up threads..what in the heck is going on? Grrrrrr.....

Ann Apr 9th, 2001 11:48 AM

It's taken me three tries to get into the site, and whenever I click on a thread I get an error message at least once.

top Apr 9th, 2001 11:51 AM

echo that...this site has been blowing big time lately!!!

shirley Apr 9th, 2001 12:05 PM

ditto that for me! I'm so ticked, I'm getting out for the day and hope it's better tomorrow! Also another tick-off - when you reply to a thread it bounces you right back to the beginning even if it's number 150 you've responded to. With the error messages cropping up on top, a very frustrating experience.

steve Apr 9th, 2001 12:13 PM

ditto....

Marcelo Apr 9th, 2001 12:19 PM

Me thinks it is that the Forum runs on an underpowered machine for the task at hand. I have received several data base lock messages, too, which says to me that there are not enough communications channels and probably too little buffer space to handle the load. We run a Linux server for hundreds of PC's and don't have the kind of trouble we see here.
I routinely logged in from home over my Windows or Dos 6.0 machine and did work on a Linux based server.

These things happen from time to time. I usually gnaw on my cuttlefish bone for 15 mins or so and that takes the tension away.

Andrea Apr 9th, 2001 06:21 PM

Same here. Thought I'd add mine so that Fodors can see how many people it's happening to.

thisisnuts Apr 10th, 2001 05:09 AM

please fix this...it's driving me crazy...!!!

s.fowler Apr 10th, 2001 06:15 AM

Well I mailed this thread to our friends at fodors... creative no?

Got two errors trying, but finally sent it off!

Judy Apr 10th, 2001 06:37 AM

Thank goodness Sally and All, it is driving me looney!
