Hyatt Hotel in Paris
Have certificates for free room in Paris at Hyatt Hotel. Which should I choose based on comfort and location -- Hyatt Hotel Du Louvre or Hyatt Hotel Madeleine? Thanks.

Frankly, I would prefer to be on an upper floor of the Hyatt Etoile. Great view.
Yes, it is a bit less central than the other ones, but it is still on top of a metro station. |
I used two free nights in 2013 at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, a beautiful hotel.

I like the location of the Hotel du Louvre slightly better for access to the usual tourist sites. But, the Hyatt Madeleine is a much nicer hotel IMO.

I wasn't even aware the Hotel du Louvre was now owned by Hyatt. I don't know about the insides, but I think the H du Louvre is not only close to a few tourist sites where you might walk (notably Louvre, the islands) but is also more convenient for better metro connections/lines. Because you have access to 3 metro lines at that location at either Pyramides or Louvre Rivoli/tuileries stops, plus some buses go along Rivoli or the general area. But the other one is closest to St Augustin which isn't even a major metro stop (meaning two lines don't cross there). So by metro, you'll have to transfer more. On the other hand, I'm not a big fan of rue de Rivoli and owuld probably go elsewhere for dining, for example. The other is a posh area, but not quite as business-y.
here are some restaurants near the Madeleine one (which isn't really right at the Madeleine). http://www.idealgourmet.fr/23164-res...tation-gb.html http://www.twentypeas.fr/ http://www.chezpapa-restaurant.fr/ |
There is not a whole lot of distance between the two neighborhoods, and both are upscale and easily accessible to transport and the major tourist attractions. I would do some research and look carefully at the photos (not reviews) from people who have stayed in each hotel before deciding.
