hvar.hotel croatia initial report
 

Just arrived --- hotel & grounds are beautiful; booked a double room with sea view and received a 2-bedroom suite with huge terrace. Staff very helpful. Will do a more complete report soon.

Post some photos if you can of the hotel rooms.

We requested sea view balcony and maybe we will be as lucky as you and given an upgrade ( although we will be there in high season, so I doubt it)

tripgirl, the sea-view balcony rooms are fine. also, next to the terrace attached to our room, the hotel has a common terrace that can be used by all guests. the hotel "beach" (150'in front of hotel)was very nice. for about $6-8 a nice young man will supply you with 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. swimming is right there. we never even looked for another beach. buffet breakfast including fried eggs very adequate. served outside with great view.......

The Hotel Croatia has beautiful grounds. Large for Hvar and park-like. Lovely. I had to choose a hotel with air conditioning, there is none at Hotel Croatia.
