Hvar Accomodation Help
Hi Guys,
Heading to Croatia this year. Wanting to stay in a affortable apartment in Hvar for 7 nights (2 people). Not too far away from the town, but not near too much noise (I hear it can be bad near the port and the clubs). Has any one stayed in Apartment Novak or Apartment Cacic? Would really appreciate your help. |
I stayed at Novak - the view is great however it is at the top of a long set of marble stairs. There is a more graded approach using back walkways starting from St. Stephen's square. As for the apartment - it's adequately furnished - the air conditoner in the living room works quite well - the sofa converts into a bed. The one problem - noise from the harbor bothered me a bit but I can be a light sleeper at times. There's a small terrace you can sit on looking out at the harbor.

Thanks for your help Pisana.
With regards to the noise, was the noise from the boats or from the clubs/people? Also, how long would it take to walk up the stairs, as my wife has a bad knee? |
I would defintely not recommend it if your wife has a bad knee. That morning on my friend's last day, it started lightly raining - imagine carrying a suitcase down marble stairs (and he had ACL(?) surgery back in June). As for the noise - it was night clubs.
Check this website's accomodation - the owners of the apartments should be able to help you with specifics. http://www.hvar.hr/ |
Thanks for all your help!
Have a great 2006! |
