Hurtigruten cost difference
So apparently the cost on the Norwegian site is half the cost on the us site..even the U.K. Shows as less! Can I buy on the Norwegian site? Looks like my second leg is going to require a cabin.

I don't see why not. I use a VPN to make it seem I'm booking from Norway.
You don't need a VPN - if they wanted to make it impossible they would not accept payment with US cards. Open in Chrome browser for translation. Use the Port to Port tab for shorter journeys.
dyoll, for me the issue is that even if I specifically point my browser to the .no site, it still forwards to the .com site. hence the vpn.
Does that for me too and I'm in Norway! Just click on Menu (top right), click on where it says English, select country Norway! And you should be fine.
cool! thanks
I get all the way to payment and then it tells me (due to address) that the traveler is not in the right market (country) to make the purchase. seems they really want you to buy in either the global or us site when its much more costwise
finally got to the end and get a 404 error...
Yes they do. Other option is to buy in port when you get there. For the short stretches (i.e. travel ticket only) there will be no problem.
Unless they need to send physical tickets in the post then try the address of a hotel that you will be using. Or is it the credit card address that crashes it? Try PayPal if that is a payment option.
