Huerigen-Not too touristy

HI - Can anyone recommend a huerigen in Vienna that is not terribly touristy and yet easy enough to get to via bus/rail/tram? Prefereably one that Viennese would go to.

Take the streetcar " D" to the end station in Nussdorf. walk up hill about 100 metres on the left side of the street are 3 local heurigen. Look in each one - pick the one you like best.
Very few tourists. Nice gardens too , if weather permits.

" D" runs from Sudbahnhof to the " Ring"-
around the " Ring" to the Stock Exchange- onward to Nussdorf. so very easy to get it.
No change needed- trip takes about 25- 35 minutes from Opera area.

As I recall (from 2 yrs ago), the tram ride is really easy. When you get off, there are heurigens to the left, to the right. Touristy? I thought none of them were.

What is a "huerigen" please?

Tried, but no dice. I'd love to know.

In my experience, "heurigen" is a wine restaurant, usually with an outdoors garden with tables under the trees. Lots of them up in the hills around Vienna. Very pleasant places to spend an evening.

Heurigen operate under very specific rules, which include, I believe, no direct food preparation and the wines must be from the local area. Some are even limited to the new wines and can't be open all year-round.
