How would I get from train station in Marsailles France to Artuby Bridge?

My 22 year old son wants to take a side trip to Marsaille France (from Paris) so he can bungee jump off the tallest bridge in Europe. Does anyone know how far the bridge is from the train station? and if my only way there is to rent a car? Has anyone done this? We are planning to get to the train station June 14 evening, sleeping there, and somehow heading to the bridge the morning of June 15. When he has finished jumping we will get back on the train and head to Nice. Any suggestions on any of this?

Um, that's not the tallest bridge in Europe (and considering it's road-above-arch, "tallest" means highest above the land or water it goes over, right?).

It's not even close. There are at least 20 bridges higher in Europe.

The highest is in France: http://www.highestbridges.com/wiki/i...Millau_Viaduct

The bridge is a bit closer to Nice than to Marseille. So it wouldn't make much sense to go back to Marseille if your final destination is Nice. May be yoju rent the car at Cannes.

I never even heard of that bridge, I presumed he meant Millau but that isn't near Marseille. That is the highest bridge in Europe that allows bungee jumping, apparently.

The Artuby bridge is in the Verdon Gorge or Grand Canyon de Verdon. The closest big city is probably Cannes or St Raphael on the coast but they are pretty far away and there are a lot of winding roads to get to it from the coast. You could take the main road west from Grasse towards Castellane, then get onto the D21 and finally D71 to reach it. I wouldn't do it.

I should have explained myself better. It is the Artuby bridge. It may not be the highest bridge, but we are understanding that it offers the longest bungee jump in Europe. By the looks of the map it shows to be north of Marsailles. And its address is Marsailles. Should I take train to Marsailles and rent a car to get there? How far from the train station would it be? How is the drive?
Or, is there another place that offers an exciting bungee jump in France or Italy that I should be considering?

The name of the city is Marseille.

jackie - google maps will give you the distance between Marseille and the bridge.

a spot of googling should tell you about any other bungee jumps in France and Italy. for example:

my DS did no 2 when we were in SA a few years ago, the Bloukrans bridge. He enjoyed it a lot but I couldn't watch.

2 people told you where the Artuby bridge is. May be you have a look at a map (google for that, it takes about 5 seconds) in order to see yourself that it's closer to any other railway station than Marseille.
Closest TER station: Les Arcs
Closest TGV station: St. Raphael Valescure
