how to travel between france and germany?
 

I'm in France and I'd really like to get over to Germany for a few days in October but I'm not sure the best method, Train, plane? Any websites for the Trains that run between these two countries along with any flight info (companys that fly from France to Germany who are Cheap!!)

This is a very confusing post. If you are in some parts of France you can just walk five feet and you'll be in Germany! What could be simpler than that?

I think you need to explain where in France you are and where in Germany you want to go. Both are relatively big countries.

The question is a little vague. Where in France? Where in Germany? If you were in Alsace and wanted to see the Black Forest, a car rental with a return in France would be the best choice.

Forget countries--think and speak in regions. That is all that makes any sense.

Paris-Berlin on EasyJet is a cheap, easy way.

I'm leaving from Paris and going to Munich for the weekend. I called for the train and for a round trip its €180. pretty expensive. Anything cheaper would be better.

You might want something faster also. Paris - Munich is over 8 hours by EC. You'll spend much of your weekend on the train.

Hi everyone, I am also interested in traveling between Germany and France. Specifically, I will be in Frankfurt, Germany from Nov. 27th thru the 29th and then on to Luxembourg City for a week long conference. I am looking for a great day trip for Sunday, Nov. 28th. I would like to go to Paris but am open to suggestions. Any information on shuttle flights from Frankurt to Paris would be a great help. Also, if you are feeling generous, can anyone help me with ideas of how to spend my time in Luxembourg while my husband attends his conference? I thank you all in advance! K

Kgirl: If you really are only able to go for a day, I wouldn't recommend going to Paris. From Frankfurt, you could easily check out the Rhine River with the numerous castles and wineries. It's an easy day trip with a car or on the train, or you could check and see how often the boats are running at this time of year.
