How to pronounce "le GAB" (ATM)?

Est-ce qu'on dit "gab" ou "G-A-B"?
Merci.

Honestly, I have never heard the term used, but since it stands for "guichet automatique de banque", I would say "zhay-ah-bay", if I were going to use this term. I wonder if it is more an "industry" term than in popular use. Shown on this webpage... http://www.diebold.com/infr/atms - - note that Diebold itself labels this page "atms" (even in French).

You might do just as well with "ah-tay-em" (ATM), or "bancomat" (seems semi-universal) or maybe "le guichet" (ghee-shay) or even "le distributeur"...

Best wishes,

Rex

I've heard it called "un distributeur".

Our French friends told us it's called un distributeur de billets. That worked for us.

Thank you. I think I used "bancomat" in the past, but then I saw this new term and thought I was missing something.

Now to Paris...
