How to go from Mantua to Florence, IT
I have looked at some train sites, but am unable to figure out if there is a direct train from Mantua to Florence.
Is there a train? Does it have to go through Verona? Is there a bus? We don't want to drive. Thanks ((R)) |
Mantua (Mantova in Italian) is on a small spur rail line. I suspect your train won't be direct, but you may have easier searching if you use the Italian name.

A quick glance at trenitalia.com had many choices between Mantua (Mantova) and Florence (Firenze), all requiring at least one change of train, usually at Bologna or Modena. The shortest trip was 2 hrs 30 mins, most a bit longer.

Use www.bahn.de or www.trenitalia.com to get connections from Mantova to Firenze. You have to change at Modena and/or Bologna.
Mantova is a beautiful old town, but few foreign tourists go there, for some reason. |
I had looked at trentalia, but could not find anything. Then I put in Mantova and Firenze, and presto, there it was.
ellenem and Geoff, Grazie mille! Ciao! ((F)) |
