How to get to Andechs Monastery near Munich
 

Hi - planning an afternoon trip to Andechs Monastery, leaving Munich around 4 On Tuesday, September 17. Can anyone tell us what public transportation is available, how long it takes, etc?

Three options:

Option 1:
Depart München Hbf at 15:31 from Gleis 31 on RB59517. Get off at Tutzing Bahnhof at 15:59 then get on the 16:07 Bus 958 (Bus Direction: Kloster, Andechs) at Tutzing Bahnhof and get off at 16:30 at Kloster, Andechs. The Kloster is right there.

Option 2:
Depart München Hbf (tief) at 15:46 from Gleis 2 on the S8. Get off at Herrsching at 16:35 then get on the 16:46 Bus 951 (Bus Direction: Starnberg Nord, Starnberg) at the Herrsching a. Ammersee Bahnhof and get off at 16:56 at Kloster, Andechs. The Kloster is right there.

Option 3:
Depart München Hbf at 16:32 from Gleis 28 on RB 59525. Get off at Tutzing at 16:59 then get on the 17:07 Bus 958 (Bus Direction: Kloster, Andechs) at the Tutzing Bahnhof and get off at 17:30 at Kloster, Andechs. The Kloster is right there.
