How to get from Treviso (Veneto) to Venice airport?
What is the best way to get from Treviso to the Venice airport? Do we need to take a train to Venice and then take a bus to the airport? Is there any direct transportation from Treviso (town or airport) to the Venice airport? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Mille grazie!

If you're headed for Venice from Treviso, the easiest--and cheapest--way to get there is to take the connecting ATVO Eurobus service. Bus times coincide with Ryanair arrivals and departures, and the fare is much cheaper than a taxi: only €4.30 one-way or €7.60 return. (You can pay the driver when you board.)
You'll need to allow 1 hour 10 minutes for the bus trip, including a five-minute stop in Venice-Mestre, the mainland railroad station for train connections to cities throughout Italy. After pausing in Mestre, the bus crosses the causeway to Venice, which is several kilometers offshore in the Venice Lagoon. The end of the line is the Piazzale Roma, where you can walk or catch a vaporetto (water bus) to your hotel.
The following links will help you plan your trip:
ATVO Eurobus
The bus timetable is mostly in Italian, but it's fairly easy to decipher. (Use the white columns if you're flying between London and Treviso; yellow columns are for Brussels flights.)

Change bus in Mestre. Ryanair bus from Treviso airport to Mestre (55 minutes), then another bus from Mestre to Marco Polo airport (17 minutes). Both timetables on http://www.atvo.it/eng/orari_en.php

fvan,
Unortunately, there is no direct transportation between Treviso and Venice airport. Your best bet, assuming you're coming from the center of town, is to take the train to Mestre (20-25 min.), then connect to the frequent airport bus service (under 20 min.). Not bad at all.
For train schedules:
www.trenitalia.com
For bus info:
http://www.atvo.it/eng/airport.php?l..._fly.ihtm&id=1
also, local ACTV bus service every 1/2 hour at :27 AND :57 (on Sundays only hourly service on the hour).
If you're travelling between Treviso and Venice airports, Absurd has already answered your query.
Hope this helps,
Andre

Thank you to RufusTFirefly, Absurd, and Andre for your most helpful replies. With all of the food shopping my husband does in Italy, we will not be travelling light when we leave Treviso for the Venice airport and our flight back home!
Does anyone know about parking our car in Treviso in terms of 1. availability, and 2. cost?
From everything we have read, parking in the centro sounds like a challenge, and confirmed by a reply from gottatravel europe to a message about Treviso hotels. Are there buses into the ciy from hotels outside the city walls?
