How to get from Terminal 4 to Chueca Station?

Greetings, can anyone suggest the best way to get from Terminal 4 to Chueca
Station besides Taxi? Will arrive Friday afternoon in September. There are probably many ways, but is there a non-stop transit I can take? Or one that avoids to many changes? Thanks for your suggestions.

There is no nonstop way if you intend to take a train/metro. There would be if you take a taxi, of course.

You take suburban train C1 (Cercanias) to the end of the line, stop Principe Pio. From there you take metro line 10 to Tribunal stop or Alonso Martinez and walk to Chueca. that's probably the easiest with fewest transfers, but that is still a bit of a walk at the end YOu can change metro trains at Alonso Martinez to the line that does have a stop at Chueca, if you prefer.

That's the only way I know by public transportation. You could use a shared airport shuttle and not have to transfer, it would take you where you want to go. I did that, there is a desk at the airport, you don't have to reserve in advance. I think the company was Aerocity. Worked fine, they were good.

The nearest Cercanias station (line C1 from Terminal 4, as mentioned above) would be Recoletos.
Check Google maps if your final destination or hotel is in acceptable walking distance according to your preferences.

This summer the Recoletos tunnel is closed (until at least August 30) and that affects the Cercanias train service C1 between Atocha & Chamartín. They have put on alternate buses for that route.

If your final destination or hotel is within acceptable walking distance of the Plaza de Cibeles, you could take the Exprés-Aeropuerto bus (with luggage racks) from T4 and get off at the Plaza de Cibeles stop (the one before Atocha) and walk up. *Bus fare: 5 euros.
Or taxi to your final Chueca destination from Plaza de Cibeles.

The tunnel* will be closed at least until November, so the airport trains will stop at Chamartin. The option of the express bus is quite OK. Using metro and/or train, you could :
1._ get the metro, L8, to Nuevos Ministerios, then L10 to Alonso Martinez (and depending where in Chueca, get out and walk, if not, L5 to Chueca metro stop
2._ get the train to Chamartin and change to L10, and then same recommendation as before

Even with the train working, going to Principe Pio in order to get to Chueca didn´t make sense at all.

Bye, Cova
