Hello, I live in Miami probably arriving at Orly, vía Tap Airlines I was considering to stay like 3 days in Tours, taxe train for one night in Angers. And from there train to París.
We have visited several times the Loire Valley staying in Blois, so this time we plan to focus on chateaux near Tours.
I understand that rgentina a car seems to be the better WAY to travel, however we do Not wish to drive
My question is, can I take a train or bus from Orly either to Tours or Angers?
...
Would it be wiser to fly AirFrance flying into Charles de Gaulle and hook up there with the TGV to Tours?
The thing is that Tap offers much better deals.
Thank you.

See the first response above which describes how to get to Tours by train without going into Paris.
If you go into Paris, trains leave frequently from Gare Monparnasse. A taxi from Orly is about 30-35€ to the station.
This might be an option, I didn't check details:

Yes you take a train from Orly airport's train station (free navette or shuttle bus from terminals) and take train into Austerlitz station from which trains go hourly or more with some gaps to Tours and Angers - these are not TGV trains so have a flat fare - just buy your ticket at Orly - thru ticket - or yes take some kind of shuttle or the Orly Val + metro to Montparnasse station and take high-speed trains to Tours and onto Angers - these trains will usually cost a lot more.
For lots of great info on French trains check out these fine sites - www.seat61.com; http://www.budgeteuropetravel.com/id8.html; www.ricksteves.com.

Paris in my opinion is absolutely worth visiting.
I often go there with train departing from Gare Monparnasse. I use a taxi a few times, a taxi can be found directly at Orly or This could be an option. http://www.taxi-airports-transfer.com
