I agreed to the remark concerning Rick Steves and to the fact that it's usually not extremely difficult to board a taxi (or water taxi if we are in Venice) at places like aeroporto Marco Polo where are lots of taxis.

For those who can afford the Gritti Palace anything but a water taxi is slumming.
