How to fit Valencia into a circle trip in Spain
I see many posters hoping to come to Valencia only to be discouraged that it is not worth it or too difficult to fit into a schedule.
in the case that you DO have the time to do so, here is a simple ay to fit it into the typical Madrid/Barcelona/Sevilla itinerary.
Madrid-Barcelona by train.
Barcelona -Valencia by train
Fly to Sevilla.
Needless to say, this a very easily navigable city with one of the largest if not the largest historic sections of town, as well as some innovative architecture that has become the icon of the city.
If you are anywhere near here from March 14-19th you will be in for some very special festivities.

Valencia is a wonderful city. I'm not sure why it's off the tourist path, but certainly worth two days. Here is the track we followed three years ago ...
Barcelona to Valencia by train
Picked up rental car at train station and drove (with stops) to Granada
Returned the rental car in Granada and toured the city
Granada to Seville by train - toured Seville
Seville to Madrid by train with day stop in Cordoba
This was an easy itinerary to plan.

I think the "issue" is that so many people have just 14 days or so for their trips and definately on their "list" is Barcelona, Madrid and Andalucia (the big 3 - Sevilla, Granada and Cordoba). Unfortunately this is barely even enough tine for these 3 regions (and I personally wouldn't even want to go this quickly).
Looking forward to my first visit to Valencia in March for 5 days during Las Fallas!
