how to do brugge and flanders fields in the same day

Jump to last reply

Will arrive in Brugge from Paris on a Thursday night in mid September and leave for Brussels on that Saturday morning early. Although the main thrust is to see Brugge, I am curious about the trenches used in WWI. Since those areas are 45 minutes away, interested in spending a few hours only away from Brugge. Wondering if doing some of these trenches first thing in the morning; possibly returning in very early in the afternoon, would be the ideal situation since the hotel I will stay gives a 'free' 2 1/2hr tour in the afternoon of Brugge. My major interest in Brugge would be wandering around the streets. Thoughts, ideas appreciated
