How To?

I'm flying to London this October, and am planning a 12-day trip, I'd like to see Canterbury, Oxford, and Amsterdam. I'd appreciate any help on planning the best sequence to go to and from each location. I'll be staying at the local hostels in all locations. My arrival and departure is from Heathrow. Thanks in advance, Jeannie

Congratulations on having the most meaningless subject line of the week, but it's early. Repost and mention your destinations. Tip: be more specific about what information you are looking for.

Oxford is directly accessible from Heathrow so it's logical to start or end your trip there.

Amsterdam you can reach from any of the 5 London airports or on Eurostar / Thalys via Brussels. Canterbury is really only accessible from London

Thanks for the insight, I'm looking for suggestions on which route from Heathrow to my other three destinations would eliminate traveling in circles. I got the answers from alanRow's reponse.

virgi: Welcome to Fodors. Hopscothch may have ticked you off - but he really was trying to help. "How To?" is a basically useless title. All threads are lumped together under "Europe" so your "How To?" could be asking anything about anywhere in Europe.

AlanRow did help w/ some useful info - but 90% of Fodorites would just ignore your question because the title doesn'y say anything useful. Just helpful hints to use the site better . .
