I agree with Patrick and others. I had my trip ready to book on 9/11. I packed all my research away. About a month ago I asked my husband if he was afraid to go because I always plan our trips and didn't want to feel guilty about putting us in harms way. He replied that he thought we were in more danger getting in a car accident! We are going ahead. Airports have never been particularly secure (look at the folks hiding drugs on American a while back.) I get in a car every day knowing there is a good chance of an accident, but I wouldn't think of giving up driving! Two of my children work in jobs in defense of our Country. My son is a Marine. Ashamed? Ted is Ridiculous!

The terrorists will have won when the law on airport security kicks in and we start paying for all the security costs in our tickets and security goes through everyones bags by hand becausee there is not enough X ray machines to check luggage. The 3 hour lines will allow us plenty of time to determine that traveling so soon after 9/11 was not really that good of idea.

I guess that means flying home to Ireland last week for my uncle's funeral was disrespectful to people I don't even know?

Growing up in Ireland, we were struck by tragedy all of the time. Everyone deals with grief in their own way. Some people cry, some people laugh. There is no right and wrong when it comes to this kind of thing.

Jerry and Ted-who are you to judge what other people do, when it in no way affects you or anyone else?

I think there are people everywhere mourning-but that does not mean that everyone should be is staying home also .Life is going on,people are visiting their families, doing business.Did you really expect the world to come to a standstill? A lot of the people that are still traveling are coming to NYC to view the site of the attacks and in so doing, are bringing business/money to the area, helping people get back on their feet..so stop the whining, be glad we are a strong bunch of people that don't let terror stop our lives from going on.
