How much tip for pickup driver?

Hello.
A lot of people recommend Ray Skinner's car service for airport pickup. His price (all-inclusive 34 pounds) seems to be reasonable. Question: how much should we tip the driver?
Thank you.

We tipped 5 GBP to the man who collected us at the airport last summer for the same 34 GBP fare. I've seen 10% of the fare quoted pretty consistently on this forum. So we probably overdid it but the guy was super. Our flight arrived at 9:45 in the evening, he waited while we changed money and got something to eat, and was a charming city guide when he took us to the hotel.

Well, I know most Europeans think that Americans tip too much, but when we used Ray Skinner's car service, we gave the driver a 5 pound tip. Maybe too much by some standards or too low by others. Your choice. We thought the service very professional and worth the money.

Do you tip lawyers ans other self-employed professionals who own their own business?
As far as I know Ray has drivers working for him; they do not own the business.
And yes, sometimes I even tip self-employed servicer providers (ex. barbers) if they provide extraordinary service.
