How much time needed in Strasbourg, Metz France
 

We stopping by in Strasbourg and Metz on the way to Paris. How much time is sufficient to spend in both towns.

too much time for two stops - narrow it down to one to get any appreciation of either town. Trying to do to much but IMO less is more in this case.

I assume you mean as a day trip - if not yes spend a day in each!

I would spend 3 days in Strasbourg and 1 day in Metz. If pressed for time, you can get by with 2 days in Strasbourg.
