how many words?

I'm trying to post our Krakow eating places for Kristi. I know it's been said before, but... What's the maximum word count for a single post, please? Thanks Kathy

Urban legend -- and my experience - - says 500. Don't know if that is precisely true - - but I try to stay under 480-ish and that always works for me.

Best wishes,

Rex
[email protected]
Thanks Rex, My count was around 380, so I'll try posting it again. Kathy

I don't think there is any standard -- it's a lot different at some times than others. I don't know what it depends on, time of day, traffic or something. Some days I have had to chop posts into very small bits of only about 10 visible lines -- others can be several long paragraphs.

If it won't post after a couple tries, that may be why. It seems really bad on Sundays for some reason, but that could be random.

To jaw-jaw is always better than to war-war.
Sir Winston Churchill, speech (1954)

Perhaps Dubya could learn a thing or two from the great war hero himself.

kathleen - My experience is that you can post about a screen worth at a time.

Kate - In 1940, Hitler, after occupying France, offered PM Churchill the option of guaranteeing not to invade Britian if he would acknowledge Germany's hegemony in Europe. Did Churchill jaw-jaw? Hell no. He had enough of "peace in our time."

Peace does not come with appeasement.

Thanks to all who answered. I did manage post my "very wordy" reply to Kristi yesterday. Next time I'll keep it short. Kathy
