Hi Interrested, I think you'll find a pretty good assortment of international travelers on this site. As an American I've been to Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Aruba, Jamaica, England, Ireland, France, and Italy. As you can see here most of us are die hards. It amazes me to see how many colorful places some of the others have been!:)

Melissa Apr 8th, 2002 08:51 AM

I am American and live in Italy. I have traveled to numerous countries and have lived in 4. I can't believe more Americans don't want to travel. My family has always done it.

Sheila Apr 8th, 2002 09:01 AM

I am American and mostly dream about Europe through this website and other sources. I have been to Europe 3 times in the last 5 years - England, Italy and France. I got a late start traveling in life so I am trying to go every other year to a new country. It takes me that long to save for a new trip so I mostly dream.

Barry Apr 8th, 2002 09:20 AM

Actually close to 20% of Americans have passports ... so a minority, but not that small a minority.<BR><BR>And yes, I am an American by birth and a Southerner by the Grace of God ;&gt;)<BR><BR>56 countries and counting !!!<BR><BR>Barry

canuck Apr 8th, 2002 11:04 AM

Yikes, I have a lot of catching up to do! First trip overseas was as a foolish young girl - hitchhiked through Spain and Morrocco! Would shudder if my kids did that today. I have visited all the Canadian provinces and have visited many U.S. states including California, New Mexico, Florida, D.C., New York and more, Australia, Greece, Great Britain (twice), France (twice), Italy (twice), Portugal, and a European bus tour. My next trip hopefully will be to Spain!

Steve Mueller Apr 8th, 2002 11:24 AM

<BR>Travel to Europe about every other year, hope to make it every year before long. We're going back next month.<BR><BR>My wife and I lived in Japan for one year. I had a job at the University of Tokyo.

geri Apr 8th, 2002 12:51 PM

American, traveled to over 40 countries, 5 continents, 18 trips to other countries in 18 years and always, always searching for more, more, MORE!!!

Greg Gallagher Apr 8th, 2002 01:09 PM

I am both American and Suisse. I have lived in Zurich, Switzerland, Bludenz, Austria, Hamilton, Bermuda. I have pretty much covered most of Central Europe. I have not lived in Paris yet, but I am planning to. Still in the long stages of planning for China, but I will be in Japan in August and then Paris again this year.<BR><BR>After reading some of the other peoples posts I'd say you have been misinformed.

Uncle Sam Apr 8th, 2002 01:45 PM

Barry,<BR><BR>"Southerner by the grace of God"<BR><BR>Amen brother...I'm with you!

Bob Apr 8th, 2002 01:57 PM

I do not know where you "heard" your information but it sounds bogus. I doubt you willbe able to get a good measurement of anything on this forum. If you want some completly unscientific input, almost every american I know or have known has been abroad at least once.
