Just curious as to the numbers of Aussies who use this site.

Count me in.

I've been visiting this site for nearly four years now, but I very rarely follow up on the tips here as everyone else seems to be on a different financial wavelength to me and my travel partner.

Harzer, interesting you say that, I have found that the tips run the whole gamut from cheap to ultra expensive.

Me too!!!

The info I gleaned from this board gave me the confidence to plan and "go it alone" for our first trip to Europe last May/June - 7 weeks in total.

And we had a fantastic trip!

And me!

I'm planning my first trip to Europe, but only found out about this site after I'd done quite a bit of planning...now I can't make a decision without first doing a Fodors search.

Sorry, should have given a more complete reply to your question.

27 Aussies use this site to plan.

Twoflower - Rufus's random response was a joke, at least I thought it was funny...

yes, ecat, i thought it might be. But when he/she repeated it, I began to wonder if he/she knows something the rest of us don't. Once was a joke, but twice undid it.

On a more pertinent note, I can relate to Harzer's remark. Marko is not wrong about the whole gamut being covered in these forums, but the general tendency seems to be more to the expensive end of the scale. More is said about hotels than B&Bs, for example. For Aussies, the value of their $ when converted to euros might be a factor too.

At least the Oz dollar has soared in value to the US buck and increased slightly to the Euro.

Sadly the Aussie Dollar is no longer soaring in respect of anything but I guess we Aussies can still plan!
