How Long to Walk from Globe Theatre to St. Paul Cathedral Area
Can anyone tell me how long of a walk it is from the Globe Theatre to St Paul's Cathedral area. We would like to take a tour of the Globe Theatre until 12:00 and I would like to know if we would have time to walk to St. Anne's church for a 1:00pm concert. Thank you! Laurie
It is about 5 to 10 minutes via the new Millenium Bridge, which is a pedestrian only bridge over the Thames.

Thank you, Marciab!

Did you know that there's a significant museum display also attached to the Globe? We wished we had allotted more time for it.
|
Thanks, Jen! Yes, I did know about the museum at the globe. We will plan to go back after our lunch and concert at St. Ann and Agnes.

I second marciab's info -- I visited the Tate Modern [right next to the Globe] by tubing to St. Paul's and wandering over the bridge. About 10 minutes is right -- a little more if you're going to gawk [which is highly recommended]

You'd have figured it out for yourself anyway, but the Millenium Bridge going to the cathedral is a great photo opp. It sits majestically above the surrounding buildings. Remember to pace yourself on the walk up the steps inside the cathedral!

Thanks so much for all the info, everyone. I'll be sure to have my camera ready! Laurie

I have been reading that the Millenium Bridge is closed.Does anyone know if it has been reopened yet? Thanks! Laurie

The Millenium Bridge is open. Welcome to London.

Ben Haines

Thank you, Mr. Haines. We hope to follow your suggestion to us about attending a lunchtime concert at St. Anne and Agnes. This sounds like it should fit into our plan for this day. Thanks again for all your help. Laurie

We were at the Globe in early September and got tickets to the new production of Twelth Night. It's in Elizeabethan dress with an all male cast. We had seen a good review in the NYT and it was great - - a lot of fun. If it's still running when you get there, I'd recommend it.
