how long is eurostar from rome to naples?

Does anyone know how long it takes EuroStar from Rome to Naples? I plan on taking ferry from Mollo Beverello to Positano. If we get to the dock early is it safe?

About an hour and a half. There is a Eurostar from Rome at 6:45 arriving at 8:20 and one each hour after that through the morning.

Boy, Ira, you're really on a roll this morning. Too much caffeine?

we recently did this trip on the eurostar at about 1.30 pm and it took us just under 2 hours. We were also staying in Positano for a week and got a very reliable and friendly car service to pick us up at Naples and drop us off at the door of the hotel for 65 euros. Definitely worth it for the ease and convenience, given all our luggage and with kids adn the heat in august! Company is cuomonet.it for website

I would also agree about getting a car and driver to take you to Positano. We have done the Naples train station to the ferry dock and then to Capri but its hectic. The taxi from the train to the ferry cost alot more that I anticipated, we crawled thru traffic. They ferry system too can be a bit confusing. Also be aware that at the Naples station there will be numerous elderly italian "gentlemen" who want to help you with your bags. They have light blue shirts and navy pants, look like they work for the railroad. While they do not steal your bags after the aggressively "help" you they will aggressively solicit and suggest a tip worth much more than the help rendered (IMO). Next trip, if we haed to Positano rather than Capri, I think I will go for it and get a driver.

Oh and I failed to mention that our ferry ride turned into the barf boat, not exactly for my daughter and me but about 15 minutes into the ride several crew members appeared with fistfulls of plastic bags for many of the other passengers - nuff said about that!
