How long in advance can we book?

We're thinking of going to Spain in July of 2004 for San Fermin, among other touristy things. How far in advance can we/should we book our rooms? We went to San Fermin in 2002, so it's not something we haven't experienced. Thanks!

How far in advance you can book depends on the individual hotel. Don't know about should.

I like to plan well in advance, too. I found when checking prices for our recent Italy trip that most hotels and apartments would only book six months in advance. I think that is the norm, but I'm sure it also varies property to property.

I've booked one year in advance-for 7/04 also. Yes, it depends on the individual hotel. Many do take reservations this early though.

Email or cal/fax the hotel directly and simply ask how far in advance you can book. You can always cancel or change it later.
