About two and a half years. Now I'm a hard core addict.

About 2 to 3 years. I also visit a couple other travel forums (planning to visit Bali). And sure enough there are blunt, mean, nasty posters and thin-skinned prim and proper posters. Also questions like "what to wear" and "what type of shoes" and "is it worth it?" are very commen. One of the forums requires registration which doesn't seem to deter the vitriol - sometimes its the forum administrator himself.

Been addicted since early spring of 2000 when we were planning a trip to Istanbul and Greece, fabulous advice and helpful suggestions.

I found this site about a month ago, don't know exactly how I came across it, But I am planning a trip to Rome/Amalfi Coast in Sept. and posted a message asking for tip. I got responses quickly, but have been finding useful infomration checking postings daily about the places I am interested in. I just put what I want to find out about in the text box and somethings always comes up. I do have to agree with the person who said that "some fodorites" can be rude and annoying. I have found that also, but try to just read the posts that interest me.

Have been here for about a year. I've learned so much and a lot of the insight from other travelers have helped us save a lot of $. I'm so glad I found this board = )

A couple of years. I think I probably started reading posts in 2000 and started posting myself shortly after. I too am an addict--visit daily, sometimes twice daily. Realize how truly obsessed I am when the site is down for a day or half day, or if for some reason I have trouble getting in! <BR><BR>j
