How long do I need in Rome?
I want to see Rome, but I want to spend the majority of time on the Amalfi Coast. Can I do both in 7 days? Thanks!

You can do anything you want. You will see three or four days' worth of Rome. You ain't gonna live long enough to see ALL of Rome (nor am I; nor is any newborn infant born today).
Best wishes, Rex |
Three days in Rome has always been sufficient for me (I feel the same about New York City) - after that, I need to head for the hills......or the coast.

Hi fb,
On your other post I suggested that you stick to your original itinerary this time. If you click on your name all of your threads will turn up. |
Thanks, Ira!

A lifetime. Within a week, you can scratch the surface, though.

So much to see, so much to eat. You need at least 5 days.
Check out Rome on my websight... http://richardab.home.comcast.net/Fl...Departure.html |
If you want to spend the majority of your time on the Amalfi Coast, I would spend 4 days on the Coast and 3 days in Rome.

First trip to Italy we had 3 weeks..and had a whole itinerary planned out..........but we never left Rome. And went back the next year!
So it just depends on you ans what you want and expect and your attention span! Right, BC ..a lifetime ..would be just about right! |
With 7 days and wanting to spend a lot of time on the coast, I would give Rome three days. Don't try to see it in less. Really 5 days to a week is best for a first trip, but 3 will do.
