How long are replies accessible?

There is so much great info on this board that I worry about how long replies are accessible? Anyone know how far back the archives go or do I need to copy and build my own files? Thanks

Forever. You just need to know how to search for the ones you want. A recent thread gave some good advice on saving threads. That thread can be found here: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34475225

There are posts here all the way back to the beginning (1996). Any post can be removed if the Fodors staff deems it wrong to stay here. (I have seen this happen 5 minutes after a post was started, or years afterward).

Basically, they are here forever - - or until we hear otherwise.

Best wishes,

Rex

I copy and build my own files as I find information that is relevant to my needs. It beats having to read thru several hundred replies when using the search function.

Forever, but sometimes Fodors loses a thread from its indexing system, so it can no longer be found via search. Also there have been times when it "improves" the site and if you had a thread bookmarked, it maight no longer come up with the bookmarked url.

After an entire time period of threads got "lost" during a site improvement, I learned my lesson. If it's really important to you, save it to your own files outside of fodors.
