How is cellphone reception,The burren, Dingle Pen., around Kenamre
 

Goodmorning, I've done my research from your posts about buying or renting, but before I do anything, I thought I'd better find out if, CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? My guys are going to be hiking and it'd be nice if they could check in with me if they are going to be longer then expected. Thanks for your time and help. Joan

In Europe, you should expect full coverage everywhere.

Reception is generally good except in mountainy areas.I know from personal experience that reception from Vodafone if better than O2 as a general rule.

My experience with mobile phoes in Ireland and the UK has been very good. I have had very few dropped calls over there. Kenmare and Dingle are a bit more mountainous than Co. Clare, but again, it's certainly MUCH better than I get in Colorado.

We had no problems with our cell phone in Ireland (Dingle and the burren included.) As Ardfelt said, only mountainous areas might be a problem; the phone did not work in Wales around Snowdonia mountains.

Thank you, Lobo,Ardert, Wojazz & Flutist, I will rent a cellphone and have the guys call me from the top of Mt. Brandon. I wish I could walk up there with them. Just 3 more weeks and we'll be there. Regards, Joan
