How hard is it to book a concert at Musikverein in Vienna?

I had standing from for a Philharmonic concert -- the only time I was at Musikverein. I stood at the back on orchestra level.

You should be sure to get there early, as there were quite a lot of people when I was there. The crowd was several people deep, so unless you're in the first or second row, I think you can forget about seeing anything.

When I was there, I think that there was room to sit against the wall -- but obviously you can forget seeing anything if you opt to sit.

LeighTravelClub - Yes, make sure you arrive early. Other people have mentioned tying a scarf on the banister to "save" your spot so that you can then go wander around a bit. IIRC, the standing room section is rather flat, so if you aren't in the front row, it'll be rather difficult to see much.
