How far is the Krakow Gl Osobowy station to old town?
 

Hello, we are arriving from Berlin to the Krakow Gl Osobowy train staion. I cannot find this train station on any map. Does anybody know where it is & how to get to the center of the Old Town Market Square? Thanks.

I checked the German rail site and, when I put in Berlin and Krakow, it showed from Berlin Ostbahnhof to Krakow Glowny. That was the only train station I saw in Krakow. It is about a 5-minute walk to center of Old Town square. You go out of the train station (only one way) and walk toward Hotel Polonia. On the other side of it is a park area. The entrance to the old town is just past the (I think it was the municipal building) building. Very easy.

Hi, thanks for your answer. When I go on Rail Europe it shows the train going into Krakow Glowny for the day trip with stops. But the sleeper car which we are taking is direct and goes into Gl Osobowy. I'm confused now. Anyone?

The German rail site shows a night express leaving from Berlin Ostbahnhof to Krakow Glowny with sleeper cars non-stop leaving at 20:09 arriving Krakow at 6:36 for 10 hours 32 minutes. Also, an Euro City Express with sleeper leaving at 19:07, arriving at 5:52 with one stop in Posnen. I think you need to talk to whomever gave you a GI Osobowy station.

Hi Linda, thanks for your help. I will check German rail as you suggested. Maybe it is my ignorance of checking Rail Europe only. I didn't even know that there were different train lines to check. Thanks again.
