How easy is it to visit Pompeii from Praiano?

I don't think we'll have enough time to visit on our way to Praiano, so will have to do it another day. What do you suggest?

If you have a car, it's not a bad drive at all. You can easily visit and return in a relaxed day.

Otherwise ... take the Sorrento bus as far as META station (45 mins), then take the Circumvesuviana train from there to Pompei Scavi (30 mins).

Hope this helps ...

Also we had a car and we still drove to the Meta train station from Praiano. We parked the car near the station at a meter and took the train to Pompeii.
This was a suggestion of the owners of the apartment we rented and it worked like a charm.

We won't have a car, but it doesn't sound like it would be too difficult.

Thanks for your help!

Hi nb,

Remember, you want the SITA bus, not the Orange bus.
