How does one get....

...a "sweetie darling" from ThinJohnMarg?

cigalechanta Feb 28th, 2007 04:58 PM

Just ask!
by the way what's your other posting name?

marginal_margiela Feb 28th, 2007 07:40 PM

I don't understand. Maybe I am too sober?

cigalechanta Feb 28th, 2007 07:50 PM

I will repeat, as Bud is to politics,
Marg., is too fashion, don't take too seriously.

OK, it is almost noon and I have reread this post and I still don't understand it. What does it mean? Is a "sweetie darling" a euphemism for something?

I don't get it.

Wake up MM. "Sweetie Darling" is apparently a phrase you use often. I think this poster (must be someone we know using a new name) wants to know how to get referred to you by that title.

I just clicked on your name to look at posts and here was the first "sweetie darling I found":

Longchamp is mank?

What, do we have chimneysweeps from Stepney posting here now? What next? A glottal stop? You have been watching one-too-many espisodes of the East Enders, sweetie darling.

marginal_margiela Mar 1st, 2007 07:32 AM

Yes, Patrick, I understand that I use the phrase "sweetie darling" a lot, but I don't understand what 29Feb means by "getting one from me." Does she want me to call her "sweetie darling?" And why? Like, who cares? Jeez. It isn't like a knighthood or something.

29FEB Mar 1st, 2007 08:43 AM

So apparently asking isn't the way to get one. (Probably doesn't work with knighthoods either!) My question is hereby withdrawn, with apologies.

Well, at least I feel better now. I couldn't imagine how you could have read the post several times and really couldn't figure out what she was asking, which seemed to be your point -- twice. Now I see you knew all the time. You just wanted to know why it was important to her. Well, sweetie darling, isn't it obvious?

not to me!!

I'm curious about who's who nowadays on this forum. Are most of the expatriates back? I was too lazy to follow the trail and learn a new site, so I'm hoping most have found their way back. Is there a thread that identifies new names vs. previous names?
